Escavez – Pittsburgh has a storied history as a blue-collar town, and as a result the city’s musical contributions have typically been anthem-driven, working-class bands and angst-ridden punk groups. Rusted Root, the city’s jam-band offering in the early ’90s, added some diversity to the scene, and as the city undergoes urban redevelopment, so does its style.
